ONISE IYANU!.....I AM NOW OFFICIALLY A NURSE!

The race is not for the fastest nor for the strongest but to whom GOD gives HIS Grace upon. This much I said in my Salutatorian speech after graduating from Nursing school.I wrote my NCLEX exam on September 12th and passed!I am now a Licensed Nurse! ONISE IYANU! (Miracle Worker!) GOD of  Awesome wonder!

Nursing school is H-A-R-D! I cried many nights. Burnt the midnight oil for hours long. I developed hypertension and was placed on medication. The doctor told me to relax. WHOSAI! We were 40 in class, only 21 graduated! The way I read in 9ja, was different from the way I studied here. The questions were not theory but multi-choices. The day I scored 76 in an exam, I sat on the floor still in my scrubs and balled my eyes out! Because 77 was the lowest pass mark one could get. GOD showed HIS miraculous hands and I made 96 in the next exam.
My textbooks!

During my period of studying, hubby was in charge of the kitchen. I worked 3 nights and schooled 4 days. On clinical days, I would leave home 4am to resume morning shift by 5.45am. Sometimes it is afternoon shift and I finished 10pm.

My neighbours were a big help to me with my son. I had 3 neighbours who were SAHM. My son stayed with each of them on separate days, while my husband took permission from office to work at home once in a week, and on Fridays, I did not go to school, so I could do all my homework and study. Yet, SOME people don't respect SAHMs! Taking care of kids 24/7 is no joke!

Today! I have a new career! Not by my power or might. But by the Grace of GOD! ONISE IYANU! I have tasted of Your power! You have shown me so much Mercy! ALL Glory and Praises be unto YAWEH! The creator of the universe. Ese oo BABA!

You deserve a treat for such sacrifice since nursing is a degree course in the USA and very demanding.

  9. Wow! I have missed a lot with my 'isansa' blogger status.
You truly deserve that cape, sis and I'm very happy for you. I have an idea how tough this is because I've been around people who went through it.
